Since the time I studied Dolores Cannon’s Quantum Healing Hypnosis technique, she always emphasized the importance of diligently practicing what is taught and not “giving up” too soon by creating new techniques. Combined with the “awakening” from my own past experiences where I always dreamed of “doing big things” but was too lazy to do the small tasks, I ended up not having the strength to complete big tasks and neglecting the small ones, which caused time to pass without achieving anything significant. I’ve also witnessed many people who love collecting tips and tricks but never actually practice any of them. Therefore, when I started learning Siam Reiki at the basic level, I forced myself to persist and do exactly what I was taught, without rushing to create or imitate anything. Teacher Steve, on the other hand, is very structured in his teaching and requires students to follow the full process without cutting corners. Therefore, when learning Siam Reiki or experiencing Siam Reiki, there is never a 15-minute Reiki session, but always a complete session. Thanks to that, I studied relatively diligently until I reached the Master level, not simply reading a few books, finding interesting tips, and applying them to Siam Reiki. I followed exactly what the teacher taught. Looking back, I feel very fortunate that I didn’t go off track during the basic levels. However, when I reached the Master level, I became a bit clueless, specifically with many tools that the teacher provided, but I didn’t realize how to combine them.
Used to doing a full Reiki session with 10 points of hand placement on the body, although I occasionally saw Teacher Steve briefly place his hands on a couple practicing Reiki, and the recipient cried uncontrollably, I completely forgot that I could use Reiki energy briefly in a few minutes when I couldn’t do a complete session. Essentially, it’s no different from “holding energy” in the shared space, but I had forgotten that I could do something similar on the person.
That day, during a Reiki Share session, one participant came to experience Reiki. After receiving the session, they felt their energy was chaotic, and their head was spinning, so they asked for assistance. “Wait, how do I handle this?” I calmed myself down a bit and felt the energy on their head like a whirlwind. But since I didn’t have time to do a complete Reiki session, I decided to take a chance and asked them to lie down. I just focused on sensing the energy, placing my hands on any chaotic spots until the energy balanced out. Oh my goodness, for the first time in my life, I realized that the quick hand placement technique that made so many people emotional was exactly like this. I felt so clueless.
It was an experience that made me realize that the Reiki energy had flowed through me and merged as one with me. It was no longer about using individual energy techniques or separate healing practices. At higher levels, when needed, just a few minutes of Reiki can already provide great support for someone in need. More importantly, Siam Reiki allows me to clearly know what I’m doing within those few minutes and what I’m influencing on the person, without any confusion about what I’m doing.
