This past life story is just a small part of an extremely “heavy” remote Siam Reiki session. Telling a client that they had a past life as a courtesan is not easy, but fortunately, the client was open to listening to the story.
600 years ago, in the land of Củ Sâm, she was a courtesan at a brothel. She wasn’t an extraordinarily beautiful woman, and her skills weren’t particularly special, but she was quite well-known in the area… because she was “very selective.” The other girls in the brothel were usually either motivated by money or fame, doing whatever it took to please men—and even women—just to gain wealth or reputation. But she didn’t care for money, didn’t care for fame, she was the type who would say, “I do what I want, I don’t have to flatter anyone” =)) She wasn’t arrogant because she was beautiful or skilled, it was simply her unique personality, and that personality naturally made her very attractive to the men who frequented the brothel. She was like a world of her own, completely different from everyone else living in the brothel.
One day, while looking down from the high balcony, she noticed the figure of a man she had once felt a little affection for, walking with his wife and child. The family appeared happy and content, enjoying each other’s company. He was simply someone whose heart she had once fluttered for, though there were no deep feelings involved. In fact, the man might not even remember meeting her. Yet, the sight of that family happily together deeply touched her proud heart. For the first time in her life, she had a longing: “I wish I could be like them, a happy family.”
From that moment on, her heart closed in sorrow, and her world turned completely upside down. She lost all interest in the activities she had once enjoyed, activities she had never really cared for in a detached, proud way. Her world became dark and gloomy. She continued living in the brothel, but she no longer participated in anything. Around the age of 40, she passed away, partly due to emotional suffering, partly because “the illness of the profession had taken its toll.” Upon her death, she harbored a deep bitterness and resentment toward men, believing that it was because of them that she had not been able to have what she had always dreamed of—a “happy family.” To assess the severity of the “resentment she carried to her death,” it wasn’t a full 9/10 or 10/10, but around 6-7/10, enough to plant a seed for future lifetimes.
In this current life, her personality is very similar to that of the courtesan in her past life, and she still holds a hidden resentment toward men. During a Reiki session, her Second and First Chakras were completely blocked. They were dry, lacking family connection with parents or a partner, and physically dry as well. In summary, these two areas were heavily blocked.
Looking back on the life of the courtesan, the unfortunate girl only saw things from one perspective: believing that it was the men who kept her from having what she wanted most— a warm family. But she failed to see that she never actively made decisions to change her life. Among the men who visited the brothel to meet her, surely, one could have been sincere, wealthy, and powerful. If she had agreed to be a concubine for him, she would have had a family, someone by her side, and children. Even though it wouldn’t be as prestigious as being a legitimate wife, what she truly desired was not fame, but the warm, joyful feeling of a husband, wife, and children together. Even if it was only 6/10, it would still be better than withering away as her life’s tragic end.
