Sharing Experiences and Insights on Channeling and Extrasensory Perception (ESP) from the Practitioner’s Perspective

As I have shared before, in the DPA course – 30 Meditation Lessons to Develop Extrasensory Perception (ESP) by Siam Reiki, students learn how to communicate with spirits (souls, entities, energy beings with minds) and handle situations where these entities are at low-frequency vibrations, not coming from the higher sacred realms. The prerequisite for the DPA course is that students must have completed Siam Reiki level 1. At this level, the energy field and chakras are expanded, and the chakras are connected firmly from top to bottom. Spiritual guides (energy entities with minds from higher realms) come to support the student. These changes in the energy body stimulate the development of their extrasensory perception abilities and simultaneously provide a protective shield against lower-frequency energies. DPA also helps students begin to manage themselves when interacting with the “invisible.” Of course, as with anything, the teacher can only assist to a certain extent; progress depends on the student’s own effort.

I want to highlight a few key points from these two courses to emphasize that interacting with the “invisible” is nothing special. There is no “divine blessing” or “chosen ones” involved. We are all equal, all originated from the invisible, and one day in our lives, it’s natural to be drawn back to our roots, to our true essence.

I’m not someone who reads or learns extensively, but Siam Reiki and DPA are courses that, I believe, break many people’s old ways of thinking and enlighten many others. These courses make the mysterious, unclear concepts logical and easy to understand. I like this discipline not only because of its clarity and effective techniques but also because of the spirit that the teacher imparts. It’s about freedom, equality, respect for free will, self-mastery, and unconditional love. Of course, there are many other courses out there, with teachers who may or may not carry this spirit. People will learn what they learn, and follow what resonates with them. When you’re at peace or uneasy with something, you’ll know exactly what’s right for you. ^^

IN SUMMARY: Extrasensory perception is not something supernatural. Everyone has the ability to develop ESP, whether naturally or through practice. Some people are interested in exploring and developing it, while others naturally have it but don’t care to focus on it. All of this is perfectly normal. The unusual part is the responsibility that comes with it. Just like with money, family, or a physical body – if you have them, you must manage them properly.

If developing ESP leads to mental instability, poor health, more negativity, complaints, or less joy in life, then I personally wouldn’t choose this path.

Extrasensory Perception and Channeling Experiences

Many people associate extrasensory perception (ESP) with intuition or the “third eye.” However, clairvoyance is just one aspect of ESP. We have five physical senses, such as sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch. When these senses are elevated, and the frequency range of our energy field expands beyond the usual, we call this ESP.

In my experience with quantum hypnosis and Reiki, I often notice that people tend to focus too much on the need to “SEE SOMETHING” — in other words, they become overly fixated on clairvoyance, without recognizing other ESP abilities. I’m confident that a Reiki practitioner or someone who has experienced quantum hypnosis would realize, upon reflection, that they receive information and interact with everything through more than just clairvoyance.

Channeling

I remember in an Online Talk on the subject of Channeling, Steve from Siam Reiki defined channeling in simple terms into two types: safe channeling and unsafe channeling. He referred to these as Medium Channeling and Trance Medium Channeling.

In more detail, safe Medium channeling is the type of channeling that a true Reiki practitioner or a Siam Reiki practitioner would perform. In this type of channeling, no energy beings enter the practitioner’s aura. Instead, the Reiki energy flows into the practitioner’s field, and the blockages in the client’s energy field contain information that, when the practitioner’s ESP abilities are developed, they can receive. To simplify, it’s like during wartime when nations have teams for information interception and code-breaking. Intercepting information is like tuning into a channel with flowing energy, but deciphering that information is a different matter. In Reiki healing, the practitioner is essentially channeling — they tune into the informational channel and then translate or interpret it. This type of channeling is safe because there is no low-frequency energy being involved in the practitioner’s aura.

In contrast, unsafe channeling, like the trance medium or “spirit medium” method, involves allowing a low-frequency energy being (often from a lower vibrational frequency) to enter the practitioner’s aura, using their physical body, speech, hands, and other actions to transmit information. In this type of channeling, the practitioner may not know if the low-frequency entity has fully exited their aura after the session. When a low-frequency entity enters and exits the aura or even parasitizes the body, it can affect the health of the channeler.

The input of information comes through the ESP senses of the Channeler. The output, for others to receive, usually happens through the channeler’s speech, writing, or physical gestures.

I’ve noticed that many “psychics” online often receive information through SIGHT/CLAIRVOYANCE, so they frequently share things like “In 2xxx, I saw the world as such and such…” Some other “Channelers” on social media seem to move their hands or perform some actions, then say, “The ancestors are manifesting.” Some classic books in the world, with their superior wisdom, seem as though the author channeled the information while writing. In real life, I’ve met Reiki practitioners who shared that when performing Reiki, it feels as though someone is guiding them to place their hands in specific spots or press certain acupressure points that they usually wouldn’t know to do. In quantum hypnosis, I’ve also experienced channeling when meeting the Higher Self of a client.

Personally, I’ve had a few channeling experiences while performing Reiki, channeling two decades ago when I called upon the spirits of deceased loved ones, and I’ve also channeled when I encountered my Higher Self. I could feel the distinct differences in each experience from the perspective of being involved.

A Few Additional Thoughts on Channeling and Extrasensory Perception (ESP)

As I have analyzed above, there are many cases where the channeler practices in an unsafe way, yet they do not realize that their method is risky.

  • First, they may mistakenly believe that this ability is something extraordinary, a divine gift or something that only a chosen few can do. They forget that they have free will, the right to say NO. When pursuing this path, they often struggle because it contradicts what their heart truly desires; however, their belief that “I am special, I am better than others” makes them hesitate to abandon a path that isn’t suitable. Personally, I don’t vibe with those who think “being a healer or a spiritual guide means enduring hardships.” To me, that perspective doesn’t view life as a gift and lacks the belief that everyone has the freedom to choose and create a life that suits them.

  • Second, I feel that those who believe this is a divine gift may only use one or two ESP abilities and naturally have a higher sensitivity than ordinary people. Having a broader perspective, knowing how to manage one’s abilities, and using a variety of ESP capabilities will undoubtedly lead to more accuracy. I also believe that practicing to open up other abilities, while managing oneself, will make a person’s ego shrink. A smaller ego results in a more peaceful life. Moreover, when one’s ESP abilities expand, I think it becomes safer for the channeler. If someone focuses too much on the ability to “SEE,” they might overlook the ability to “FEEL.” It’s like seeing someone in monk robes but not knowing if they are actually a monk. I believe that when you master your abilities, you use them more appropriately. Instead of just seeing spirits and texting people about it, handle the issue yourself. Or if you don’t know how to handle it, learn how to. I think it’s important to manage one’s abilities — open them when necessary and close them when not. It’s like having a TV antenna pointed in all directions, constantly scanning; it’s just annoying. Imagine you’re sitting in the bathroom, relaxing, but suddenly you see spirits; it’s not something I’m in the mood for.

  • Third, I also feel that those who believe this ability is a divine gift may feel unsafe because they only engage in one-way communication, not realizing they can engage in two-way communication. They can absolutely talk to an entity in an equal manner: “Who are you? Why are you here?” and they have the right to say NO. Anything from the higher realms will always respect your free will and your spiritual journey. But entities from lower vibrational levels will attempt to manipulate, control, and threaten you, wanting you to become dependent on them. Over time, you may lose the ability to control yourself. Worse yet, there may come a time when you no longer know who you are, and can’t distinguish between what is you and what is not.

To clarify further, I will share my own channeling experiences.

When channeling as a Reiki practitioner, the practitioner is in a theta state, transmitting energy and relaying information from the energy field, but they still have part of their conscious mind aware of what they are doing. It’s not a state of unconsciousness, where you perform an action and have no memory of it. Sensory-wise, I can clearly feel the energy flowing through me, and the guides will send energy through the chakras, not necessarily only through the crown chakra. There is no entity with a mind inside my aura. When receiving messages from the guides, it feels like they are outside of me, transmitting signals to me, not inside my head. When a loved one of the client appears, it feels like they are standing next to me, next to the client. However, sometimes they don’t appear physically, but just send a message, and there is no sensation of their presence next to me. After a Reiki session, the practitioner feels mentally clear. Often, before the session, I feel very sleepy, but after, the sleepiness completely disappears.

When channeling as a Trance Medium, it feels like the seventh chakra on the head opens up, and something enters me, controlling my facial muscles, speech, and words that I know are not my own. After the session, I feel drained. In some cases, other entities can completely take over the mind, and the practitioner loses all consciousness. When they wake up, they don’t remember anything they said or did.

Channeling with my Higher Self is a strange and joyful experience. The energy still enters through the crown chakra, but it feels light and protective. It feels like I’m speaking to something inside me — part of me, yet not quite me, wiser and more transcendent than I am.

Recently, I encountered a case where a Reiki practitioner said that when performing Reiki, something, like a guide, would direct them on where to place their hands and press acupressure points, even though they didn’t know how to do it. As a result, they were able to heal the client, and they believed that they were being guided by the teachers, doing something beneficial for others. They didn’t believe that “what they call Reiki” was not authentic Reiki. I won’t go into technical details because it would be hard to understand if you haven’t practiced these methods yourself. But I want to clarify for anyone who has similar doubts. Just because an invisible force guides you to do something beneficial for someone else, it doesn’t guarantee that it’s from the highest sacred realms. The important thing is whether it respects your free will, whether it allows your abilities to develop sustainably, and whether you are empowered to handle your own issues. In this case, I believe that Reiki guides would direct in a different way, not by “guiding you to press someone else’s acupressure points,” making you dependent on them and waiting for them to direct you. Also, if they are guiding you to press someone else’s acupressure points, is that Reiki or acupressure?

These are just a few lengthy reflections to help those interested in these topics see them more clearly and reduce fear. Thank you for following along. If you find this helpful, please feel free to share or copy with credit.
