Decision to Complete Siam Reiki Master Level
In the early days of 2024, I made an important decision: to go to Thailand and complete the last two courses to become a Siam Reiki Master. I hadn’t intended to become a Reiki Master last year. Therefore, each course with Siam Reiki/Peaceful Life from Steve has been a slow and steady journey for me, like, “I don’t know if I’ll continue studying, and I don’t know if I’ll meet the teacher again.” Even though there are still many levels left in the 9-level Siam Reiki system, to reach this point, I have to first and foremost thank my colleagues and fellow practitioners — all of whom were strangers at first, brought together by life’s circumstances. Thanks to them, I’ve taken each small step forward. After that, I would like to thank Steve. Apologies to Steve for meeting him at a time when I was “a little arrogant” and “rebellious.” I say this because, usually, people seek a teacher and dedicate time to learning when they need help or some clarity, but my attitude toward learning was almost like, “The universe is vast; if this isn’t meant for me, then the universe will provide me with something else. If this person isn’t my teacher, then the universe will bring me another one.”
Looking back at my journey, I can see my progress through each course. I’m even somewhat confident that I can now advise a beginner interested in Siam Reiki or a Reiki 1 or 2 student on which course to take next for further development. This post is to share my learning experience, and I hope it will be useful for those who are interested. Remember, each person’s journey is very different, so the stages of development will vary from person to person. What was a turning point for me might not be a turning point for another Siam Reiki Master, and the same goes for you.
As I shared in my previous post, I’ve been practicing Holy Fire Reiki and Kundalini Reiki since August 2020, so at first, I didn’t come to Siam Reiki to study Reiki but to take the DPA (Development of Psychic Ability) course. However, the requirement for this course was to have completed Reiki 1, so I ended up re-taking Siam Reiki Level 1.

Siam Reiki Level 1 and the Unique Healing Approach
Siam Reiki Level 1 does not use the traditional Reiki symbols; it only interacts with the physical body layer and focuses on direct healing. This level is sufficient if you want a simple and healthy method for taking care of yourself and your loved ones. However, if you’ve never practiced techniques that require a sense of stillness or sensitivity, you might feel very confused at first because you won’t be able to feel the energy. As a result, you may get discouraged quickly. If you persevere, you’ll definitely become more sensitive over time, but not everyone has the patience, as many people only practice when they’re feeling sick ^^.
A unique aspect of Siam Reiki is that it must be taught in person, as the teacher will perform energy adjustments on the student’s body. (From Level 1 to Level 3, there are four energy adjustments at each level.) The energy adjustment is a brief process that lasts a few minutes, where the teacher infuses energy into the student’s aura, making it expand and maintaining that expanded state. This helps Reiki energy flow through the practitioner more strongly and directly to the recipient. The number of guides (spiritual teachers) assisting in the healing session increases as Reiki flows from the guides into the practitioner. Personally, at Level 1, I couldn’t feel the width of my aura or the strength of the Reiki flow ^^. However, after receiving energy adjustments and learning Level 3 (Master level), I could feel the energy flowing in much more strongly and distinctly ^^.
Another special feature of Siam Reiki is that the practitioner places their hands directly on the client’s body, rather than hovering as in many other Reiki systems. There are many legends that suggest if you touch someone’s body directly, you’re connecting with their energy body, which may lead to absorbing all sorts of energies and potentially harm the healer’s spiritual body ^^. While I won’t go into that discussion, from the perspective of the recipient, feeling the Reiki energy flow into the areas of the body where the practitioner’s hands are placed is a truly different and more powerful experience ^^.

DPA and Siam Reiki Level 2: My Experience and Insights
DPA Course (Development of Psychic Ability):
DPA is a course with 30 meditation lessons designed to develop psychic abilities. I entered DPA when my belief in my own intuitive abilities was wavering. Coming from a background in hypnosis, I was already familiar with strange and unusual experiences in hypnosis, so DPA wasn’t particularly challenging for me. In fact, just before the course ended, I even told my teacher that I wasn’t satisfied because it didn’t feel difficult and that I wanted to tackle something harder. It took a few days after that for me to regain balance and reach a place of satisfaction and acceptance. Looking back now, aside from a few key highlights, I see that DPA lays a very foundational groundwork for students, breaking down mental barriers, and helping individuals face themselves while uncovering or developing gifts they didn’t even know they had. The spirit of DPA should be something that practitioners consistently nurture and maintain, as they will encounter many aspects of DPA later on, whether or not they pursue a healing profession. If you’re someone who is very intellectual or theory-driven, this course will be a turning point. If you’re already familiar with meditation, DPA will still present challenges because the meditation lessons are diverse and you’ll be working with many aspects of your inner self. Particularly, if you want to advance to Reiki 2, you should not skip DPA, as it will make the Reiki 2 experience much clearer.
Siam Reiki Level 2:
At this level, you begin using the three traditional Reiki symbols and progress to working with the more subtle layers of the body, including the emotional, mental, and spiritual layers. You also gain the ability to perform distance Reiki healing. To move from Level 1 to Level 2, you need two months of practice and at least 10 direct healing sessions. At this level, the healer is like a channeler, from the beginning to the end of the session. Healing doesn’t just come from Reiki energy; it also comes from what you channel for the client, helping them identify and remove blockages.
If you haven’t studied DPA, never practiced meditation, or are someone who needs to see and touch something to believe it, I think you will feel quite confused if you move straight from Level 1 to Level 2. There’s a high chance you will miss important information during the healing sessions because you won’t know what to look for or how to interpret it, and you might doubt it. This doubt can lead you to feel like you’re facing something very vague, and the client may simply view the session as a relaxing time rather than understanding what internal issues are being worked on. As a result, you may get discouraged or lose confidence along the way, thinking, “I’ve spent money, time, and energy to learn, but why does it still feel unclear?” Moreover, when working with energy in the subtle layers of the body, many situations may arise, and you might think, “If I didn’t learn this, I’d see fewer problems, but now that I’ve learned, there are more issues to deal with. Maybe it’s better not to have learned it.” However, from another perspective, these diverse situations are what help you develop your inner strength. I believe practicing at this level is crucial because it makes you more sensitive and helps you shape your channeling abilities, as everyone will have their own strengths.
For those of you who are at Level 2 of Siam Reiki or even Reiki Masters in other Reiki branches and are encountering issues like those described above, I suggest you study DPA, take your time to practice, and you’ll see the difference.

The Speed of Cause and Effect in Energy Work
Steve once said that the speed of cause and effect is amplified exponentially in energy practices — much faster than normal. While I won’t focus on the “thousand times” part, I’ll explain this from my perspective as follows: Emotions and thoughts are forms of energy. When we have many emotional and mental blockages, and we continuously produce negative thoughts and emotions unconsciously, we are operating at a low, heavy vibrational frequency. This slows down our processing speed, makes us feel like time is dragging, and keeps us stuck in the past while we’re living in the present.
When we address these emotional, mental, and even spiritual blockages, and become more aware of the repetitive emotional and mental patterns inside us so we can transform them, our vibration increases. This increases the speed at which things “manifest” — both the undesirable things (what we don’t want) and the desirable things (what we want). At this point, some people may feel worried, thinking “What if all the undesirable things come to me?” while others will realize, “This is how I become the Creator.” From this perspective, advertising slogans like “Reiki helps attract luck, prosperity, etc.” are indeed true, but not in the sense of some mystical gift from a savior. It’s about self-transformation and the development of consciousness.
However, if you ask, “If that’s the case, spiritual masters and energy practitioners must be wealthy and prosperous, right?” — not necessarily. These individuals often have a clear life purpose, a specific mission in life that is usually not about wealth. But I believe that those who have sustainable wealth have gone through the process of developing their consciousness and working with their own energy, whether they use Reiki or not.
