Siam Reiki and Energy Adjustment (Vi Chỉnh) Differences

There are many different branches of Reiki, such as Holy Fire, Karuna, Siam Reiki, Usui Reiki, Kundalini Reiki, etc., and each branch has its own approach to channeling Reiki and energy adjustments. These can be done remotely (online) or in person, through meditation connection techniques or through direct physical contact by the teacher on certain positions of the student’s body, as the teacher transmits energy to the student, enabling them to work with the Reiki energy themselves.

Direct Energy Adjustment: A Unique Feature of Siam Reiki

Direct energy adjustment is a unique feature of Siam Reiki compared to other Reiki systems, and because of this requirement, Siam Reiki can only be taught in person by Teacher Steve or other certified teachers of Siam Reiki/Peaceful Life. The information shared below is based on my personal research and notes as a Siam Reiki student, Siam Reiki Master, and sometimes as a support to Teacher Steve in his courses. If I am lucky, at some point in the future, I may become a Siam Reiki Teacher and share this content from the perspective of a Reiki teacher. For now, please refer to the following information:

1. At what level can one teach Siam Reiki?

Siam Reiki has a total of 9 levels. At Level 3 — Siam Reiki Master, you are not yet authorized to teach others. At Level 4 — Siam Reiki Teacher, you can begin teaching Siam Reiki Level 1 students. When your students return to learn Siam Reiki Level 2, you will move up to Level 5, and so on. (I haven’t asked Teacher about the further details as I know the path is still long ^^)

2. What are the conditions to become a Siam Reiki Teacher (Level 4)?

• After completing Siam Reiki Level 1, you need to practice for a minimum of 2 months and have at least 10 direct healing sessions to be eligible for Siam Reiki Level 2. After completing Level 2, you must practice for at least 6 months and have at least 30 direct healing sessions, as well as take most of the supplementary courses (such as DPA – 30 Meditation Lessons to Develop Psychic Abilities; Crystal Healing; Pendulum Diagnosis; Identifying Energy Sources and Transcendence) to be eligible for Siam Reiki Level 3 (Siam Reiki Master). After reaching the Master level, you need at least 1 year and 100 direct healing sessions to be eligible for Teacher (Level 4). (Details on this will come later ^^)

3. Why does Siam Reiki require direct energy adjustment on the student, while a Reiki healing session can be performed remotely?

The nature of these two processes is different, with different purposes and outcomes.

Energy adjustment in Reiki involves expanding your energy from the inside out. It is done through the expansion of the chakras and a strong connection between your soul (and higher soul), your chakras, and the Earth’s energy through your feet. The energy expansion is maintained after the adjustment, and the physical body needs time to adapt to these changes. The purpose of energy adjustment is to raise your vibration, and as a result, your Reiki Guides will come to you and send you energy as you practice Reiki.

On the other hand, a remote Reiki healing session is the process of energy coming from outside in, through a surrogate object. Reiki enters the physical body and surrounds it, specifically affecting both the subtle body (the etheric body) and the physical body. This energy flow transforms blockages by rearranging the poles of charged particles in the body.

4. How many energy adjustments (vi chỉnh) does a Siam Reiki student receive?

• In each level (Level 1, 2, and 3), students will receive 4 energy adjustments. From Level 4 onwards, there are no further energy adjustments. Although the adjustments may seem similar at first glance — with the teacher working on certain areas like the palms, feet, head, and chest — they serve different purposes (the specific differences will be shared once I become a Siam Reiki Teacher ^^).

5. What happens during an energy adjustment (vi chỉnh)?

Here are some important and fascinating details I’ve gathered from multiple shared insights from Teacher Steve. I’m jotting these down, not in any specific order, for your reference.

• During an energy adjustment, the teacher compresses a block of energy and pumps it into the student’s aura. This process helps expand their aura (the size of the aura expands with each Siam Reiki level), and this expanded aura remains unchanged afterward. Some people practice meditation to expand their aura, but when they stop meditating, the aura returns to its original size. However, after receiving a Siam Reiki energy adjustment, whether you practice or not, your aura will not contract again.

• The energy adjustment helps establish a seamless energy flow from top to bottom — from the heavens through your chakras down to the Earth Mother through your feet. This creates a stronger connection, expanding your chakras, allowing Reiki energy to flow more freely within you. This is a key difference, because many other practices, like meditation, tend to focus on the upper chakras (from the heart chakra upwards), neglecting the lower chakras (1st, 2nd, 3rd chakras), which can lead to a lack of grounding and difficulty in absorbing energy from the Earth. Reiki is primordial energy (oneness) — meaning it is the source of all, beyond dualities, encompassing both the yin and yang, above and below.

• Our extrasensory perception (ESP) abilities are capable of receiving information from different vibrational frequencies. Sensitive individuals have ESP abilities that allow them to access a broader range of frequencies than the average person. Many children are so sensitive that their parents mistakenly believe they have a neurological disorder. Many people who first practice meditation often receive information from lower vibrational frequencies, which can scare them. However, with Siam Reiki, the energy adjustment helps you start at a higher vibrational frequency, so you don’t absorb information from lower frequencies like beginners in meditation. As you progress in Siam Reiki, your ability to receive information expands both above and below, but by this point, you will have a stronger mental foundation and the ability to manage your energy.

• After the energy adjustment, you will start to have Reiki Guides — spiritual teachers who accompany you and assist in your healing sessions. These Guides may appear in various forms, such as human, angels, spirit animals, or any other shape, but importantly, they are entities with consciousness that come from the highest sacred realms. At Level 1, you will have between 3 and 6 Guides; at Level 2, you will have between 8 and 15 Guides; and at Level 3, you may have between 15 and 50 Guides. Teacher Steve works with different groups of Guides, and when he goes to different regions, he has Guides corresponding to those regions.

• Is there any danger when your aura expands? No, your aura is your outer protective layer, and inside, you also have additional layers of protection, such as the etheric body and your chakras. You are always surrounded by your Guides for protection. Before performing any healing, you will always ask and wait for confirmation from your Guides: “Am I in my true integrity?” This question acts as a protective mantra for you.

• Sometimes, during the energy adjustment, a Siam Reiki Master may be present to perform a specific action. What does this signify? A Siam Reiki Master will help Teacher Steve maintain the space for the energy adjustment. Sometimes, when a Reiki student arrives at class, they bring with them foreign energies that they may not be aware of. Therefore, we need to process these foreign energies before proceeding with the energy adjustment.

These insights offer a deeper understanding of the unique process of energy adjustments in Siam Reiki, highlighting the importance of direct interaction, personal growth, and energetic safety in the practice.

Student Experiences During Energy Adjustment (Vi Chỉnh) Sessions

Since each person is a unique individual, everyone may have different experiences during the energy adjustment sessions. Typically, some people may feel energy flowing in, experience strong sensations on the top of their head, feel something moving through their body, or even feel warmth or deep comfort. Personally, after having received 12 energy adjustments, I don’t recall much of the early experiences. However, the most memorable moment for me was during my first Siam Reiki Master adjustment session, where I felt energy flowing in powerfully. When I closed my eyes, it was easy to enter a Theta state, and my mind became incredibly clear and focused. I distinctly remember the state when my mind felt extremely clear and bright, because it was exactly like the experience I had after my quantum hypnosis session, or when I realized that I was merely observing my mind, not identifying with it.

Can students perceive or identify their Guides?
No, usually at Levels 1 or 2, our abilities are not yet developed enough to sense or see our Guides. The DPA course — Meditation Lessons to Develop Psychic Abilities — is a tool that helps you begin communicating with your Guides. The pendulum is also a tool that aids in communicating with them. Through practice, we develop our intuition, which in turn improves our communication with our Guides.
