THE COURTESAN OF THE PHOENIX CHAMBER

Past-life stories often emerge as spiritual blockages during a Siam Reiki session, whether in-person or remote. Neither the practitioner nor the client knows in advance how a Reiki session will unfold. However, you can understand it simply: blockages from past lives are stored in one or more of the client’s chakras. A practitioner’s psychic abilities can access this information, which is stored in the Akashic Records, to gain insights and help transform the blockage.

This specific past-life story was a very small part of an incredibly “heavy” remote Siam Reiki session. It’s not easy to tell a client they were a courtesan in a past life, but luckily, she was open to hearing the story.

A Past Life in the “Land of Ginseng”

Six hundred years ago in the “Land of Ginseng” (Korea), she was a courtesan. She wasn’t an extraordinary beauty or particularly talented, but she was well-known in the region for being “aloof.” While other girls in the brothel were willing to perform for money or fame, she was different. She wasn’t driven by either; her attitude was simply, “I’ll do what I want, and I’m not going to butter anyone up.” She wasn’t arrogant because of her looks or skill; it was just her personality. This unique trait paradoxically made her very attractive to the men who frequented the place. She lived in her own world, separate from everyone else in the brothel.

One day, as she looked down from her window onto the street below, she saw a man she once had a small crush on walking with his wife and child. The family looked so happy and content. He was just a person she had a fleeting, unrequited interest in; there was no deep affection. He might not have even remembered her. But the sight of their loving family touched her aloof heart deeply. For the first time, she had a genuine desire: “I wish I had a family like theirs.”

From that moment on, her heart closed off in sadness, and her world completely changed. She lost all interest in her old activities, which she was already detached from. Her world became desolate and dark. She continued to live in the brothel but stopped working almost entirely. She died in her early 40s from both a broken heart and a physical illness. She passed away holding a deep resentment and hatred for men, believing that because of them, she could not have the one thing she truly dreamed of—a happy family. The intensity of this emotion, if I could grade it, was perhaps a 6 or 7 out of 10, not an extreme 9 or 10, but it was strong enough to plant a seed for future lives.

The Present-Day Connection
In her current life, her personality is very similar to that of the courtesan, and she also holds some of that same resentment toward men. During her Reiki session, her first and second chakras were completely black. They were both emotionally dry, lacking connection to her family, and physically dense. In short, both areas were blocked and stagnant.

Looking back at the courtesan’s life, this poor girl saw her situation in only one way, believing that men were the reason she couldn’t have what she wanted—a warm, happy family. But she failed to see that she had never taken the initiative to change her own life. Among the many men who sought her out, she surely could have found someone with genuine feelings, and maybe even some money or power. If she had agreed to become their second wife, she could have had a family, a partner, and children. It might not have been as prestigious as being a first wife, but what she longed for wasn’t fame; it was the feeling of warmth and joy in a loving family. A 6 out of 10 would have been better than the bleak ending she chose.
