THE PATH OF CULTIVATION

The initial spiritual awakening often leads many of us to question and doubt the purpose of life, as well as the methods of practice to return to our true essence.

Life is fascinating when many older souls are born as children to younger souls in the physical world. I joke like this when I meet young people who are already seeking spiritual knowledge and asking the purpose of life. If we were born, went to school, found a job, started a family, had children, raised them, grew old, and then passed away, what would be the meaning of being human?

If you tease some babies as “old souls,” the manifestation of older souls in younger bodies is exactly like that. Or they may not care about the typical adult conversations, like talking about enjoying good food, wearing nice clothes, going to cafés, traveling for leisure, gossiping about others, etc., or they may speak little but say profound things. They mature in their own way and are not easily influenced by others or societal trends. In contrast, younger souls tend to have many fears from the outside world.

Please don’t think they are pretending, like “young people don’t know anything about life.” It’s just that they don’t express themselves publicly like many other young people who engage in spiritual work, such as being a fortune teller, a spiritual healer, or a feng shui expert, etc. Think about it, when you are willing to call someone who is much younger than you “master” if they seem “skilled.” But the older soul in the role of your child, sibling, or grandchild in your family might be considered weird, foolish, or incapable. Perhaps such an unusual arrangement in the physical world helps souls interact more with each other and grow in awareness.

A wise soul in a very young body came to see me. The two of us had many hours of conversation and both agreed that philosophy should be the first subject taught to children. Not Marxist-Leninist philosophy (haha), but philosophy about the universe and humanity, to understand where humans come from, the essence of their being, the purpose of life, and the concepts of life and death. With this foundation, a child would grow up with the mindset that their true nature is far greater than anything and that life is as free as playing a game. No one would fear death because they would know they never die—they only change clothes. They would enjoy their time in this physical body to experience the Knowledge—because the world of the soul has Knowledge but lacks experience. Imagine a world where awakened souls can manifest anything with just a thought, and a material world like ours, where thoughts quickly appear in the mind but require time and effort to materialize because physical things vibrate much slower than subtle energy forms.

You asked me: Should I become a monk, or should I start a family? 🙂 Spirituality is the essence of our origin, it’s our everyday life, so why think that spirituality can only be found in a temple? Everything is neither right nor wrong, we are born with both male and female energies, so why think that having a family goes against spiritual practice? But you still insisted on wanting an answer.

So the superconscious showed you a past life where you were a young man, a healer in a tribe. You had a certain influence on others in your role. You loved the chief’s daughter, but he didn’t agree because you didn’t have the status or power to match. So, the girl had to marry someone else, and you were deeply saddened and left. You wandered far and helped many people. It was a successful life in your work, but you weren’t happy because you didn’t have love. The lesson of that life was to fight for your love.

Love has no limits; you don’t have to choose one over the other—you can choose both. Only things with form are limited. Our true nature is greater than that. And you see, “spiritual practice,” or in other words, understanding who we truly are and living according to that, doesn’t depend on the job you do. Don’t limit yourself.

P.S. Thank you for the book you gave me. You are a vast library within a small body, with a great mind deserving of an open life. Don’t limit yourself.
